Maiking Greenfield & the Valley Home

While living in Salem Dan first came to Greenfield while visiting his wife's family.  Instantly feeling like the Pioneer Valley was home. Over the next few years weekend trips became the norm. Distinctly remembering anticipating fresh smells and cool air from the forests. Now settled into the area, he has made it a big part of his life to get involved in many aspects of the community and plant his roots. He is excited to help you find your home in the Valley.

Discovering the Greenfield community and Beyond

City of Greenfield

As the only City in Franklin County as well as being located at the intersect of Interstate 91 and Route 2 (Mohawk Trail) Greenfield acts as a Hub for the whole county. The downtown district features shops, restaurants and arts and culture. Also many new and exciting things happening a new Library on Main Street, Fire station being built and the  historic Wilsons building being revitalized as the Franklin Community CO-OP. These projects along with all the other aspects of the town make it a great place to buy a home.

Community

With everything going on in the city there is always a chance to meet a new friend or neighbor. There is always something yearly events like the Green River Music Fest, the Franklin County Fair, Fourth of July fireworks, and the Winter carnival. The large farmers market from May through November, the variety of programs for all ages from the Recreation department and so much more.

Since the area is known for its music scene, make sure to check out a concert at one of the venues like Neumo’s, pick through a record store like Sonic Boom, or do the extreme and attend the Capitol Hill Block Party in July. You can also say hello to the Jimi Hendrix statue on the corner of Broadway and Pine. If you’re into film, see a movie at the Landmark Harvard Exit – a classic building turned into theaters. Despite being one of the most densely populated areas of the city, Capitol Hill also has a surprising amount of green space, including Volunteer Park, Cal Anderson Park, and Interlaken Park, not to mention the Washington Parks Arboretum on the northeast corner.
